I have worked within the media industry for the last 28 years – 21 of which have been with Lynn – working over this time on all kinds of local and national advertising projects. The majority of my career to date has been working for two larger privately owned companies for which I have helped develop new sales products and build new sales departments. When Lynn and I discussed the setting up of our own business, we felt excited and confident that we could make a success of it and now, two years on, we are really pleased that we made the decision to do it.
Out of work I enjoy taxi driving for our three children and being grandad to our latest addition to the family. I also enjoy keeping fit and playing Masters Rugby League.
After over 26 years in advertising and working with everyone from sole traders to large corporate clients within the health and education sectors, I felt I had gained along with my partner Carl enough experience to push forward and set up our own family business. 3 Media has given me an opportunity to work around a hectic family life while still doing the job I love! Dealing with independent estate agents means I’m speaking to like minded individuals who run family businesses and are keen to succeed. As a growing business, my role has developed and I take great pride in working with the team from the sales department right through to production.
Out of work, three very active youngsters keep me busy! I enjoy running when I get the chance!
I worked with Carl and Lynn at another organisation for seven years where my role involved everything from accounts to production on a national project for schools and the NHS. When I was offered the job to work with them both again, I felt there was a real opportunity to develop my skills and now head up the finance and accounting department as well as overseeing the production team.
My role keeps me involved in the fast paced and exciting day to day running of the business and working with a dedicated small team. We are a real family concern as Carl is my brother! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two girls and my partner. I also enjoy running and badminton.
I first began working for Carl and Lynn Huyton as a fresh faced Edge Hill University graduate over 13 years ago. I began as an Administration assistant but over the years developed key skills such as customer service, IT and then graphic design. I had studied graphic design within my course remit at University and always enjoyed it and wanted to develop these skills so when Carl and Lynn contacted me about working with them again as a fully-fledged graphic designer I agreed immediately and was excited at the chance to do this every day!
In my free time I enjoy doing a variety of activities with friends and family but sport is one of my main loves and I keep fit and healthy by playing football for Preston North End ladies.
